This pinwheel-inspired side table is where artistry meets functionality. The gracefully curved arms of the base emerge from a single, carefully sliced piece of cherry wood. Each arm, composed of 12 or more ultra-thin slices, is seamlessly smoothed and rejoined to form a resilient, bent wood structure that surpasses the strength of its original form.
A round end table built on a base of bent laminations. Each curved arm begins as a single piece of wood, sliced into a dozen or more thin layers, milled, and glued back together over a form — the result stronger and more stable than the board it came from. Curved arms meet curved arms, and curved legs meet both. The glass top keeps the joinery in full view, where it belongs.
